Project Description: A distance learning tool to educate nursery level babies and primary level kids. Nursery student like my baby sister can be educated when a computer can identify the pictures the babies show to the computer. They will think the computer can talk to them and it will enhance their curiosity. This feature is developed using Machine Learning and Text to Speech.
For the primary students the following systems can be useful in their studies.
Maths quiz – This tool is developed to increase the mathematical skills of Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division of kids. It has levels to choose according to the difficulty levels. It is developed like a game and kids will improve their knowledge while they experience it as if they are playing a game.
Environmental Science Notes – This feature enables the teachers to insert the notes after an online lesson. The students can search for a lesson according to its topic. And the system reads the note out loud to the kids. If the teachers could prepare their notes in creative story telling ways; the kids could listen to the notes as if they are listening to a story. It will not be boring for them to study.
ENV Monthly Evaluation – Whenever the teachers wanted to have an evaluation on certain subjects the parents had to find ways to get printouts of the papers and send the pictures of the written papers back to the school. Most kids were attending to online classes using their parent’s mobile phones because not everyone has access to computers. In such a situation getting printouts during a lockdown period was very difficult. I designed this system so that the teachers can have real time exams so that no need to get printouts and even the kids are unable to cheat on their exams. On the other hand the teachers doesn’t have to spend time to mark the papers as the system gives the final score to the student just after the evaluation.
